walden federal bank in shoprite on rt . 17M

Walden Federal is growing again. The bank has applied for regulatory permission to open a branch in the ShopRite supermarket on Route 17M in Monroe. If all goes well, the office - Walden Federal's fifth - will open this spring, said President Thomas Gibney.

"We think it's a natural extension of our existence down there," said Gibney.

Walden Federal also has an in-store office at Wal-Mart in the Harriman Commons.
