Sullivan fire to cost $1M
The cost for cleanup and repairs to the Sullivan County Government Center as a result of the June 23 arson has been projected to top $1 million.
However, the county will only have to pay a $75,000 insurance deductible for any costs associated with the damage and cleanup, Finance Commissioner Richard LaCondre said yesterday.
Affected areas on the second floor should be renovated by Nov. 1, officials said yesterday.
The estimated cost for the renovations is $117,000, said General Services Commissioner Harvey Smith.
